When did you join RxSource and what was your role?
I joined RxSource in 2015 as a Client Service Specialist. Over the years, I took on new challenges and I've grown within the company, becoming an Account Manager in 2017 and a Team Leader in 2018. I transitioned into my current role as a Procurement Coordinator in 2024.
When I joined, there were fewer than 10 people working at RxSource, all based out of our Richmond Hill office. Since then, I've had the privilege of witnessing the company grow and expand, acquiring two new offices along the way and opening branches in the USA and Dublin Ireland.
Can you describe what your first day looked like?
I remember my first day vividly - it was filled with excitement and optimism. I was eager to learn, contribute, and be part of something that had so much potential for growth and impact.
What was your experience being part of a small team?
Being part of a small team was a great experience. It gave me the opportunity to find my voice, make meaningful contributions, and focus on delivering results. The close-knit environment fostered collaboration and support that made every contribution feel meaningful.
What’s your most memorable moment or proudest achievement from your early days at the company?
One of my proudest achievements was contributing to the company's sales growth and helping the company meet its targets. I focused on delivering service excellence to customers and promoting the company's reputation. I'm also proud of being assigned as a Team Leader, which reflected the trust and opportunities the company gave me to grow.
How has the company changed over the past 20 years, and what do you think has stayed the same? Had your job function changed?
Change is constant, and it's incredible to see how RxSource has evolved from one office in Richmond Hill to expanding the business in the USA and Ireland, growing in numbers. If we had stayed the same, we wouldn't be where we are today. Personally, I've embraced change by growing professionally and transitioning into procurement. I'm proud to contribute to fulfilling client orders and playing a role in delivering solutions that make a difference.
Are there any traditions or practices from the early years that still carry on today?
What has stayed the same is the company's commitment to improving the lives of patients, its core values and its dedication to making a difference in healthcare.
What do you think has helped maintain the company’s core values as it has grown?
While the company has grown significantly, the emphasis on teamwork, collaboration, and delivering exceptional service has remained consistent. These principles continue to guide us, even as we expand.
The discipline and commitment of the people have been essential to maintaining the company's core values. There's no "I" in team, and it is this collective effort that ensures we stay true to our mission, as we grow.
What are you most proud of when you think about the company’s journey?
I'm proud to be part of a company that is dedicated to improving patient's lives. Solving challenges, maintaining efficiency in our department, and upholding strong work ethics have been key to our success. It's fulfilling to know that my contributions have made a difference along the way.
Last quarter alone, we were able to positively impact the lives of 44,500 patients. Our goal is to improve the lives of 10 million patients in 10 years. Contact us today to learn more about how we can work together to make a meaningful impact.
