I joined RxSource in 2013, right after immigrating to Canada and completing further education. My initial role was QA designate, but in a growing company, I was fortunate to work across various areas, which helped me develop a broad understanding of the business.
At that time, RxSource had only four or five employees and operated from a single location in Canada. It was a very small, close-knit team.
My first day was welcoming and exciting! The small team created an environment where everyone played an important role, and I felt valued right away. It was clear from day one that teamwork and collaboration were at the heart of what we did.
Being part of a small team was an incredible experience. It required all of us to work closely, support each other, and find innovative solutions together. That spirit of “we, not me” has been a defining characteristic of RxSource, and it continues to guide how we approach challenges today.
It’s hard to single out just one moment because our achievements have been so many. Every challenge we overcame and every milestone we reached felt significant. What stands out most is the collective success we achieved as a team and how much we learned and grew together.
The company has grown tremendously, expanding from a single location in Canada to a global operation. While we’ve grown in size and capability, the culture of care and collaboration has remained constant. My role has evolved from QA designate to Director of Quality Assurance. As a leader, I now take pride in supporting my team, just as the company supported me when I first joined. That culture of mutual support continues to be a cornerstone of RxSource.
Absolutely. The most enduring tradition is our culture of collaboration and care. From the very beginning, it’s been about supporting each other, and that hasn’t changed. Even as we’ve grown into a global company, we’ve held onto that sense of family and teamwork.
It starts with the leadership. The founders emphasized care and collaboration, both professionally and personally, and that mindset has been embedded in the company’s DNA. When I joined RxSource, I faced many challenges as a new immigrant—not just professionally but personally, too. The support from my RxSource family didn’t stop at my professional growth.
They helped me overcome challenges in my personal life, from navigating a new country to major milestones like buying my first house and figuring out life in Canada. As an immigrant, you can sometimes feel like you’ve lost your identity, but my RxSource family helped me find it again. It was personal and professional growth for me, and that speaks volumes about the company’s culture. Now, as a leader, I strive to continue that legacy by supporting my team the same way I was supported.
I’m most proud of how we’ve stayed true to our core values while achieving so much. RxSource has grown from a small team in one location to a global company, yet we’ve maintained our culture of care and collaboration. On a personal level, I’m proud to have been part of this journey for more than half of the company’s life, growing alongside it and contributing to its success.
