RxSource Clinical Services, a clinical trial supply services group, has appointed Rocco Barone as Chief Commercial & Strategy Officer. This appointment strengthens the RxSource leadership team and strategically positions the company to achieve its next phase of growth and transformation.
In this role, Rocco will lead RxSource Clinical Services' global business development and overarching company strategy, while supporting the Executive Leadership team in identifying opportunities to drive continued growth and expand the company’s presence worldwide.
With a 20+ year career spanning across the clinical trial supply space, Rocco brings a wealth of experience in operations management, strategic leadership and building long-term client relationships. Most recently, Rocco held the position of Senior Vice President, Clinical Supplies Management for Clinigen, where he was responsible for leading clinical supply and biological sample management activities across their US, EU and JAPAC footprint. Prior to this, he spent over 17 years with Merck & Co., Inc. where he held various roles within the clinical supply organization including leading US operations during the final 3 years with the company.

The appointment comes as RxSource Clinical Services concludes the transition of its US operations to a newly commissioned flagship facility in West Deptford, NJ. This sprawling 50,000 sq ft. facility significantly increases the capacity and capabilities of RxSource Clinical Services, ensuring they can meet anticipated client demand.
